DEFCON is overdue for a refresh in branding. Their assets are something that is found from a cheesy 90s theme hacking. It's cliche and overdone. The strength of the branding is not effective and does not communicate the demographic that attends.
The theme for 2019s DEFCON is captcha. For some reason, that is the only way to tell the difference between human and machine. The distinction between the two is the human connection. The warp and glitch effect refers to the ever growing issue of security and vulnerability.
